Jerry Elfassy is the Founder and Chief Technology Strategist of Progressive Consulting, bringing more than four decades of hands-on experience in information technology, cybersecurity, and business technology strategy.
Jerry began his career at a time when systems were designed and built from the ground up, long before managed services, cloud platforms, or modern security frameworks became standard.
Throughout his career, Jerry has led and overseen complex IT infrastructures, cybersecurity initiatives, cloud and Microsoft platform transformations, business continuity planning, and compliance support for regulated industries.
In parallel with his technical leadership, Jerry founded and continues to lead the LI Referral Network, a long-standing professional networking organization built on trusted relationships, accountability, and community engagement. The group has connected business owners and professionals across Long Island for decades, reinforcing Jerry's belief that strong relationships and integrity are as critical to success as technology itself.
While Jerry remains actively involved in strategy, oversight, and client engagement, Progressive Consulting is not a one-person organization. He has built and mentored a highly capable team of professionals who share the same values of accountability, responsiveness, and respect for each client's business.
This team-based approach ensures that clients benefit from collective experience, documented processes, and consistent service rather than reliance on any single individual.
In addition to Progressive Consulting, Jerry also oversees SbyterWeb, the firm's web design and development company, ensuring that client websites and digital assets align with modern infrastructure, security, and operational standards.
Jerry is also deeply involved in the local business community and has served as a Board Member and former President of the Westbury Carle Place Chamber of Commerce, reflecting a long-standing commitment to supporting the organizations and communities he serves.

Progressive Consulting was founded in 1989 with a clear and enduring mission: to help organizations use technology securely, intelligently, and reliably to support real business outcomes.
Over the past four decades, the technology landscape has changed dramatically, moving from early networked systems and on-premise servers to cloud platforms, advanced cybersecurity threats, and complex regulatory and compliance requirements.
Throughout each phase of this evolution, Progressive Consulting has remained focused on practical, real-world solutions that prioritize stability, security, and long-term success rather than short-lived trends.
We have designed, implemented, and supported IT environments for professional firms, nonprofits, manufacturers, and regulated organizations across Long Island, New York City, and beyond.
